Halo: Reach live-action short details revealed

Microsoft has revealed the official details of the Halo: Reach live-action short first reported this morning by Game Console.

According to a press release from Microsoft “Birth of a Spartan is a stirring depiction of the transformation of Carter 259, the future leader of Noble Team in Halo: Reach, from an ordinary young man to a superhuman Spartan warrior”.

Birth of a Spartan was directed by Noam Murro, Director's Guild of America's 2005 director of the year and the director of the 2008 romantic comedy Smart People.

The 60-second short will go live at www.welcometonobleteam.com on Wednesday, April 28 at 4pm New Zealand time, and users will also be able to upload a photo of themselves and be recreated as a Spartan III soldier.

 An extended version of ‘Birth of a Spartan' (at 2 minutes, 30 seconds) will be available on Xbox LIVE the following day exclusively to Gold members.
