FYI, this story is more than a year old

Popular daily deal site GrabOne has launched a campaign to raise money for teen/tween support hotline, Kidsline.

GrabOne has set up a special donation page on its website, inviting customers to donate $5, $10, $20 or $50 to the charity.

The move comes after GrabOne provided funding for Kidsline to redesign its website, which was re-launched last week.

Kidsline is a telephone counselling service for children up to 14 years of age, provided by senior secondary school students. The counsellors answer in excess of 5000 calls per year, tackling issues from bullying to abuse and neglect.

Shane Bradley, founder and CEO of GrabOne, says Kidsline provides a ‘fantastic’ service for young New Zealanders.

"We were drawn to and inspired by these young individuals behind the phone, who obviously have a huge amount of respect and understanding for what these younger kids are going through,” Bradley says.

"It’s pretty impressive and something I personally want to see flourish and grow.”
