Former Renaissance boss joins Kordia
Mon, 20th Aug 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

A day after resigning as acting CEO of struggling Renaissance, Shaun Rendell has joined Kordia as its CFO.

The state-owned company confirmed Rendell will start his new role on September 3, replacing outgoing executive Roger JArrold who left in mid-July to join Downer New Zealand Ltd.“We are extremely pleased to have Shaun on board,” says Geoff Hunt, Kordia's CEO.

“Our business has transformed dramatically in the past five years and is now strongly telco-orientated. Shaun’s appointment will help us continue to evolve in that direction.”

Rendell leaves his role with the former Apple distributer two months after agreeing to sell its IT distribution to fellow Kiwis Exeed Limited, his final day will be August 31.

With 20 years of financial and management experience in market-leading companies, the position is not Rendell’s first in the telco space, after previous roles at TelstraClear in New Zealand, as well as British Telecom and O2 in the UK.
