Redundancies and resignations hit Renaissance
Fri, 28th Jan 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Following a reshuffle at the beginning of the year, The Channel has learned that another round of resignations has taken place at the Onehunga-based distributor as well as a number of redundancies.

After being with the company for just four months, Victoria Cotton, General Manager – Enterprise, has resigned for a position at CodeBlue.

Before joining Renaissance in September 2010, Cotton held BDM roles at HP and IBM.

Our sources say that Product Manager Kelly Taylor has also resigned and accepted a role at Axon.

Samantha Shorter, Logistics Co-ordinator at Renaissance, is another employee said to have thrown in the towel.

Six redundancies were reported to have been made on Wednesday. But The Channel has been unable to confirm any details of this.

One of Renaissance's largest shareholders, Mal Thompson, has sold 1 million shares in the company to ex-MagnumMac owner, Murray Wood.

The current share price is currently 0.260, while Thompson's transaction took place below the market price at just 0.230.

The Channel has contacted Renaissance for a statement.
