New tech boasts unparalleled control and protection against malicious emails, viruses and hackers.

WatchGuard Technologies has launched its Quarantine Management Server (QMS) that the company has said bolsters the WatchGuard family of extensible content security to give businesses additional protection against spam, phishing and malware-laden messages.

The firm is targeting the QMS at mid-size and enterprise organisations which allows them to direct unwanted email or exceptionally large messages to a local quarantine server for further processing.

"Because email is a critical business operation, it also tends to be the first entry point for viruses, hackers and malware," said Scott Robertson, Regional Director Australia and New Zealand, WatchGuard Technologies. "Because of this, WatchGuard is now offering a quarantine management server to complement our award-winning XCS messaging and content security appliances. Having both WatchGuard QMS and XCS solutions in place, businesses gain unparalleled control over their messages and unbeatable protection against malicious e-mails."

WatchGuard QMS is available in two models, both of which are available now from WatchGuard resellers.

Clive Donde was recently appointed the company's first NZ Territory Manager. Based in Auckland, Donde will be responsible for managing business development through WatchGuard’s partners and customers.
